If You're Tired of Being the Smartest Person No One Listens To, Start Here
Hi, I'm Andrea. And if you've landed here, you're probably dealing with something I know intimately: being brilliant, accomplished, and consistently undervalued.
Maybe you're stuck reporting to someone who dismisses your ideas in meetings, only to praise them when a male colleague repeats them five minutes later.
Perhaps you've been told you need "more executive presence"—but nobody can explain what that actually means.
Or you're simply exhausted from being the only woman in senior leadership, fighting to be heard while everyone else gets promoted around you.
I get it. I've been there.
My Story (The Short Version)
Twenty years in Fortune 500 corporate America taught me something crucial: the rules of leadership are different for women. Not because we're different, but because the game itself is rigged.
I spent two decades as the "pitch whisperer" at companies like Disney, Coca-Cola, and NBCUniversal. I was the person executives called when they needed to win big deals or navigate complex client relationships. I was indispensable.
I was also invisible.
Despite consistently delivering results, I found myself stuck in patterns I couldn't break free from:
- Having my ideas overlooked until a man repeated them
- Being labeled "too aggressive" for behaviors that made men "natural leaders"
- Receiving vague feedback about "executive presence" with no actionable guidance
- Watching less qualified colleagues advance while I stayed stuck
Sound familiar?
What Changed Everything
Working with my own leadership coach changed my trajectory. She asked questions I couldn't answer (which was rare for me). Through our work together, I realized I'd been playing by rules designed to keep me small.
That's when I stopped being "nice" (though not all the way, more on that later) and started being effective.
I didn't become mean or difficult. I became strategic. I learned to:
Build real executive presence (not the watered-down version they teach women)
Navigate toxic leadership without sacrificing my values
Set boundaries that protected my time and energy
Speak with authority in rooms full of people who'd rather I stayed quiet
Design a career that actually matched my ambition
